The third International Pulpwood Conference will take place in Singapore, between 19-20 of October.
The two previous conferences have gathred several hundred delegates from over 20 countries, focused mainly on the development of primary resources from plantations, at a global level, and on the international trade in woodchips and woody biofuels.
This year’s conference will showcase subjects like:
1. the forest situation in USA, Asia, Oceania and Africa.
2. trends in forest timber investments
3. the global development of biomass
4. the production, suppliers and new potential resources for wood chip
5. global trends of pulpwood price
6. new wood fibre markets in Europe and Japan
7. China: the ptentioal of the woodchip markets; resources for forest regeneration
8. potential benefits of the former Kyoto market, for investments in plantations and local forests. |
