The Forest Fair of Lucerne is already a tradition in
Switzerland, while being the largest and the most important for the forest
branch of the area; from this point of view, its role in the economy of
the country is undeniable. With more than 30 000 visitors, 250 exhibitors
and a surface of 28 000 m2 (the number of exhibitors and visitors grows
each year), the Fair gathers the representatives of the principal
federations of the forest field of Switzerland.
The essential characteristic of the Fair and at the same time the point of
attraction is the exposure itself, a unique one, a common platform that
brings together the associations and the national institutions of the
economy of the forest and wood. From one edition to another, the
organizers present special events like debates, seminars, conferences, but
also some others activities to maintain and to attract the public, such as
"The 8 th Championship of wood cutting".
