The company Montoise du Bois is based in Mont de Marsan (France) in the heart of the forested hills of the “Landes de Gascogne”.
Created in 1866, the company distils resin from the Landes’ forest until 1955.
Then the company developped its activity towards the mechanical work of wood: woodwork sawing for local houses. Progressively, Montoise du Bois has equiped itself with new industrial equipment to introduce seasoning in 1972, planing (fabrication of lambris parquet) in 1975, and finally varnishing in 1985.
In 1995, the company branches out by the introduction in its catalog of pine wood small furniture and various lockers.
In 2006, Montoise du Bois, in Mont de Marsan’s place, stands for:
- 45,000 m² including 12,000m² covered
- 80,000 tons of sawn maritime Pine
The company expansion is still on its way thanks to annual investments in the production equipment, which guarantees even more qualitative fabrications.
