Miranda Kerr has launched her debut furniture line. “As someone who loves the sanctuary of home, it has always been a dream of mine to create my own collection of furniture. Design and interiors have been passions of mine for awhile now,” said the top model.

Though she may be best known for strutting down runways and gracing the covers of dozens of magazines, it turns out Kerr has long had an interest in life at home-her father worked in the construction industry when she was a child, and her design eye has been honed by the travel afforded by her modeling career.

Inspired by the positive, refreshing energy created from savoring time at home, this new collection eloquently captures Kerr's ideals of tranquility, authenticity and beauty into timeless yet practical home furnishings. Entitled Love.Joy.Bliss., the new whole home collection features nearly 50 furnishings for living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and office. "I love the simple pleasure of being at home with my family," the designer says (a family which, as of last week, includes a new baby boy!). "For me, home is where the heart is. It’s my sanctuary. An ideal night would be a simple family dinner, followed by a board game together or karaoke."

Renowned for her impeccable style and setting the agenda for upcoming fashion trends, Kerr was a hands-on collaborator with the Universal Furniture design team, specifying every detail - from design, materials, fabrics, colors and textures to the positive word of affirmation found hidden on each piece. The collection is contemporary in styling with clean lines, geometric shapes, feminine touches, soft pastel colors and nubby fabrics. Luxurious touches include mother-of-pearl inlays, soft-gold bases and lacquer finishes. Inspired by fashion and nature, the pieces are timeless, beautiful and inspiring but also practical for everyday life. The supermodel's well-documented love of crystals also played a part in the launch; pieces of rose and clear quartz were sprinkled throughout the showroom on tables and shelves of her design. The concept of sacred geometry, which suggests that certain shapes and proportions have sacred meanings. The triangle is especially important in this belief system, so several of Kerr's pieces feature it in unexpected ways-like a console with a faceted front, or a cabinet with mother of pearl inlaid in a subtle chevron.

The collection name is more than a moniker. It’s an intention. "Originally, Love was for the bedroom, Joy was for the kitchen and dining, and Bliss for the living room; however, the entire collection encompasses the energy of Love, Joy and Bliss, and those words are marked somewhere on each piece," Kerr explains.

"If I had to choose, I would say the Runway console is my favorite," Kerr says. "I love the combination of the soft pastel tone and brass base, and how the clean lines are juxtaposed by the three-dimensional front panels."

Love, joy and bliss are what it’s designed to bring about in a living space. The idea is that not only does it look aesthetically pleasing but that it also promotes a warm, positive, loving energy in the home.
“Miranda had a vision for what she hoped to achieve with this collection based on her career in fashion and her travels around the world,” said MacKenzie. “We are both really pleased with the end result, and are excited to share it this fall.” Miranda May Kerr (born 20 April 1983) is an Australian model. Kerr rose to prominence in 2007 as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels. Kerr was the first Australian Victoria's Secret model.
